Re: SRT-8 vs CTSv vs GTO

dredging this up from the grave, but I finally got aroudn reading the whole article..

"The basis of reality isn't totally shattered".. lol SRT-8 was still the slowest in the figure 8, with the CTSv being on top. by at .75 seconds comparted to the SRT-8.. And the article mentions the CTSv still feels sharper and more sportscar like..

I don't know. There seems to be some performance variability in Hemi powered vehicles until break in. I 've also heard the the engine management software will hold back performance for the first few hundred hours of operation.

I've personally driven two Hemi Magnums. One, (with afew hundred miles on it), was simply a rocket. I was stunned at how hard it accelerated. I drove another with fewer miles on the clock (maybe 30-40 miles), and it felt like a relative slug.

I know our Hemi Durango sure feels lots faster with 10,000 miles than it did with 1,000 miles

Absolutely correct on these assumptions. My Ram ran much stronger after 10K, it ran even stronger after the superchips. The dang TCM/TMR restricts power throught the tranny. After the reprogram, the CAI, headers, cat back felt much stronger. The APS TC really helped the off the line punch dramatically. I can't wait to see a modded SRT-8 in action with mods similar to my 5100 lb quad cab truck.
