We call them ghosts out here because they are nearly impossible to identify till it's too late and their right on you (for some reason their radar isn't set for long distances

They don't necessarily have to have their radars on (folks complain when their radar detectors do not detect squad cars) to see if someone is speeding.

The one's out here are worse, they're all unmarked. The headlights and reverse lights flash when the sirens on, and there are red and blue lights attached to the front of the inside rear view mirror. They can come in any color and I think some of them even have T tops (cant remember seeing one with them though). Only way to tell the difference is to see the lights attached to the mirror. I think they also dont have Z28 badges but I dont remember. The Crown Vics are way easier to find though. I mean, how often do you see Crown Vics with tinted windows?
