Personally, I don't care much for pick-ups. However with the recent $8,000+ discounts, I might actually consider an extended cab 4x4 as a cheaper Avalanche/Tahoe alternative. Producing a regular cab Silverado SS kills the practicality, and a 2wd model would be even worse in the snow than a Camaro.
While I'm at it, I should also point out that the Syclone wasn't enough of a success for a replacement to appear, or even emulators from other brands. If a "performance truck" is going to work long term, it has to have broad appeal. That, and a payload capacity greater than a Corvette.
Like I said in the earlier thread, the current Silveardo SS cant be selling all that well because the dealer down the street already has them for $3k below sticker before rebates and whatnot. That truck was a dud, and it would have been impossible for the regular cab Silverado SS to have made a worse entry.
