Who said you can't like older classic cars and still hate retro. They are not the same thing at all. There is not even a valid point to be made there.

He obviously likes those particular years, and not remakes of them.

Retro cars are not remakes.....if you can give me one example of one that is. Otherwise, jump off the retro hating bandwagon. Good styling is good styling, regardless of what decade it was first thought of in.

I really like the Crager SS looking wheels on the black GT, but man, those regular stockers on the other cars are horrendous.

Am I the only person in North America who likes the interior of their 4th gen? I think the '97+ dash is very nice quite frankly. The leather may be cheap, the door panels may not be the fanciest and the trunk panels are flimsy, but I like the dash and the console very much...and for me the seats are nice and conmfy.

The Mustang's retro style alone inside makes me want to puke in general, and the retro gague font really makes me want to in particular!!!!!!!!!

What's the encore to the '05's style going to be? Mustang II????

Nope, I also like it. I feel very comfortable and "at home." I love the dash and carpet. All I need is some aftermarket superior quality leather and I'm set. The only thing I really dislike though is the cake-plastic-rubberish door grabber thing. That thing scratches like crazy and looks and feels cheap as hell...other than that, I love my interior

If you liked the GTR concept, you will also like the 2005 Steeda Mustang.

Dario Orlando and the group from Steeda developed the bodywork and underpinnings for the GTR concept car. As it turns out, the GTR was a developmental test-bed for the new Steeda packages to be released in '05.

Expect to see Steeda fielding cars that are almost exactly like the GTR in competition starting late this fall.

Also, The ground effects, suspension parts, and other components developed for the '05 GTR are already offered for sale from Steeda. They have been advertised in MM&FF and 5.0 for 2 months already. I particularly like the Steeda headlamps in the blacked-out grill - very sinister-looking.

You are not alone, the seats could be better but other than that I love the interior in my SS.

The new mustang is a piece of crap no matter how I look at it.

Well I'm glad someone besides me FINALLY said something positive! I think the idea that "all GM interiors are crap" has gotten a little out of hand. Frankly, its a nice design and while the leather is a little easy to wear, the seats are very comfy.

Let's see here, the 1971 and 1984 were their own designs, especially the
second gen cars. Neither one had blatant styling cues to make it look like an previous gen. I would not like a new Camaro that makes me think "1973" or
"1987" when I see it. GM has always had great styling for these cars so that
they looked modern and fresh. Even so, everytime a new generation was introduced, there was no doubt in anyones mind that it belonged in the F-car
family tree. Just because I like the originals, doesn't mean I would like a copy.

As far as the interior on the 4th gens go. I think the criticism is too harsh. While I don't consider the interior of my 1999 to be top of the line, I don't think it is bottom of the barrel either. I like my interior, especially the layout of the instruments and controls. The seats are supportive and comfortable even for long trips. The poor quality leather is the only disappointment I have. Had a 5th gen been waiting in the wings, no doubt the interior would
have been fresh and better than the 4th gen it was replacing.
