Holden? Let's hope not; if it is, I won't even need my finger in my throat to throw up.

I don't like the concept of Onstar because it is like having a cell phone in your car from what I know. And I don't mean being able to call people, I mean it is like a cell phone because you are being billed for having it every month or everytime you accidently turn it on. I really don't know much about it except I don't want it. I want a friggin screen (like GPS) with an actively updated map that shows me where I am and where I am going, not some Pakistani lady named "Sarah" telling me to turn right and turn left or something. Anyone have Onstar and can explain how it works? My rant would be more effective if I knew more than 20% about it.

Paddle Shifters, I'm under the impression that the kind offered on teh pontiacs are teh lose because they are just automatics and when you hit the little stick the computer makes the decision anyway. Unlike as apposed to say the one's on an Enzo where they connect directly to the flywheel or something like that. Do I expect those no, I just don't like the fakey ones, kind of ricey. But thats just me.

This problem keeps coming up on the 05' stang boards, some people want sat navs, bluetooth, in dash DVD, A/C seats, and a champagne cooler. Other's ahem, real enthusiast want the 300 pounds removing those would subtract. The GTO is available for a lot of that, so as long as this Camaro is smoother around the edges and still walks past the stangs...

A GTO doesn't have any of that stuff...
The only affordable sports car right now that has paddle shifters is an RX-8.

I swear, Holden is a disease. It's a disease affecting GM that has symptoms of nausea-inducing blandness and a general style that appeals only to Australians who don't like any flare in their cars.

NEWS FLASH TO GM: American car culture does not equal australian car culture! We like our sports cars to have style, and not blend in with every other dull gray car that Joe Schmoe drives to work each day while throwing empty Starbucks coffee cups on the floor.

Yes...the idea of putting V8's into all there cars, and having the suspension tuned for great handling, have great interiors, and not making them giant boats is a BAD thing.
Id hate to have state of the art chassis, 350hp enignes, 6spd, IRS and awesome interiors in my car. Give me a FWD 4 banger any day...now THATS American Car Culture!
I wish GM caught the Holden bug 10 years ago.

Just include DVD Navigation/MP3 controlled by a 7"x4" touch screen in your interior and you have a winner.

Re: Solution to Camaro naming problem...

I suspect that the Zeta-based Chevy coupe will not be. And I suspect that something Kappa-based (LWB) might be.

If that is so, then relax. The only thing Holden did was re-engineer kappa platform to make it bigger and fit bigger engines.

Besides, Holden makes some of the best looking cars. As for GTO design - blame GM NA, not Holden.
