Lightbulb So much anger...

I swear, there's so much hot air in this room from people ranting about General Motors, we better start investing in some tethers, lest we start floating away...

Do you expect different?? The GM in a few years looks like it might be good, but right now, no way.

Well, yes. Its like yelling at someone who's trying to quit smoking that they are no quitting fast enough. Unless you're right beside trying to help them, you're in no position to criticize.

Basically, unless you work at GM and have first hand knowledge of what's going on, I really don't think people should be trying to jump on the bash wagon. Give the guys a break. They've only had a little over a year with Lutz actually doing anything.

oh, btw: ZL1 is the top Camaro.

LOL @ ZL1.

I know, thats why I say GM in a few years is looking like it'll be cool again, I know they don't have much to work with currently. Not every1 does know this though. Even fewer when you factor in people outside of this board. I'd still like to see some more improvements and better designing on the things they can change now. When some real entire B.L. vehicles come out, I hope we all can think different about GM again. The critisizms might be more helpfull then you think though.

Did you expect different? demise of the f-bod is fresh on many's minds. The fact that the enthusiast are kept in limbo over a potential 5th gen Camaro and the Firebird been canned for good isn't helping either. For many, this was the only part of GM they've owned or cared for. The GM that was the maker of F-bods, not the Silverado/impala SS GM. They feel let down. I'm sure you know the feeling.

This is probably the general attitude at this time. I'm sure it'll fade down the line with the injection of more performance into Chevy and GM's line.

I don't think so many are as upset with the cancelation of the 4th gen (it was known years in advance) as the idea there are no concrete plans for a successor. Just the same, I don't think people should take the line that everything that comes down the pipe is crap until they see something with "Camaro" written across the back--or that those who do see the value in such "non-Camaro" cars are somehow compromising and taking what's handed to them. That attitude is stale, and just reeks of close-mindedness and bitterness.

I understand, styling is subjective and the SSR, GTO, and all of the recent concepts aren't for everyone...but come on, these cars aren't marking the death of GM as a performance car maker. And if you don't think there are better cars just a few years away, then why even bother reading this board?

Read a bit more in this section, and you'll relize why nothing is being talked about. There is a much more complicated situation going on behind the scenes than most know.

I read this section daily. I know of the behind-the-scenes complications. I still don't think it necessitates an attitude that "everything sucks"....

Lightbulb From my point of view , ...

It's more the fact that we are not being told anything "official" about future replacements !

It's bad enough that it was dropped/left to die on the vine , but then for whatever reason to know nothing (again, officially ) while Ford parades seemingly endless varieties of the 'Stang for it's supporters to drool over adds insult to injury.

Also, whetehr one keeps the Camaro faith or not, what of it's F brethren, the Firebird ?

Lots of questions, far too few answers at this point.

My .02.

Britt

P.S. In the 4th Gens, the SS is the top Camaro.

For a second I thought you wrecked the H2!

Seriously, I'm kinda like alot of folks here. They think that GM doesn't listen to them and don't care what they think. I'm sure the future looks bright if you know what's going on, but if you don't, it looks a little more bleek.

BTW, I've got faith, it's the only reason I'm here!
