That looks pretty ncie from what I can see so far.
Onyl thing I think I might end up not liking so far is what probably is an extended lower black grille thing, like Audi and some others do that I dont care for.

It looks like a 9 speed automatic is going to be an option too.

We shall see. The Cobalt SS was a cool car, but it didnt get nearly the mileage of a regular Cobalt. With CAFE going to 54 mpg the manufacturers dont have enough room to even make the 4 banger hotrods anymore. How many Volts do you have to sell to reach that number? And what if nobody buys them? I was at the Chevy dealer on Saturday and they had 4 Volts on the lot. They are going to save the hotrod type stuff for the Vettes and Camaros.
If they build a 280 hp Cruze or Sonic like the Cobalt SS I will eat my words, but I dont see it happening.

Yet 556 horse CTSs, 470 horse ATSs, 650 horse Shelbys, a 580 horse Camaros, and 470 horse 2 ton Challengers Chargers , and 300s have no problems? You're kidding, right?
You don't currently see a Cruise SS for the same reason you don't currently see a Cruze hatchback. GM simply decided not to sell one at this time.
FWIW, there is a turbo version of the Dart in the works. Whether it's called SRT or not is (again) the decision made by the manufacturer, not CAFE.

I can only assume that you're simply kidding, because that's about as ridiculous as anything I've heard lately (No Cruize SS or SRT4 due to CAFE??? Yet 5560 horse CTSs, 470 horse ATSs, 650 horse Shelbys, a 580 horse Camaros, and 470 horse 2 ton Challengers Chargers , and 300s have no problems? )

Even that new Toyota/Subi probably wont see an sti version.
