Despite GM's incentives being almost $500 greater than anyone else's in January, they still lost a ton of share, down to about 27% I think.

But that's a good point by Fbodfather, there could have been some pull ahead to create the outstanding December GM enjoyed.

huh...I love the new Chevy front ends--the old truck looks so boring and plain..makes me want to fall asleep when I look at one.

Hey--that's new cure for an insomniac

oh and GMs marketshare in Canada increased to about 30%

Nope, it fell in January too. I don't feel like firing up the laptop right now and logging onto Socrates to check, but it fell about the same up here as it did south of the 49th. GM of Canada has typically maintained a slightly higher market share than in the US (it was about 30% for all of 2002), though their trends track remarkably similar.
