A short Solstice progress article

A short detailed article on Solstice. Again, Bob Lutz is the best source for finding out what's going on within GM's products. He reveals things that would have a lesser employee skinned, quartered, and boiled if they had said them.

Among the things mentioned:
Solstice is most likely to be built in Wilmington Delaware.

The last major issue with the car is "fabrication issues" that need to be done profitably (with the December deadline... production announcement), which the engineers are working on. Management is fully enthusiastic about the car.

I cant wait to see this car hit the street! I think I more excited about this car than anything else GM has planed. That includes the C6 and GTO because I could actually afford a Solstice right out of college.

I'm going to be buying my first new car in probably 3 years. If there is no Camaro, which I doubt there will be in 2006, I'm going to have a Solstice!

IF any engineer from gm is reading this make sure a 6’6” guy can sit in the Solstice comfortably!
