I liked the Series 1, it was a little expensive though

 

The problems had nothing to do with the GM motor or the Corvette switchgear and sundry items.

The core of the problem was that Shelby didn't and doesn't know jack **** about building a modern automobile.

When it was a couple of hacks with hammers in a garage, he and the company were in their element.

But when the customers start requiring good parts, with good fit and good finish, and real reliability he's out of his league.

I'm not kidding when I tell you that a bottom-line Cavalier like mine blows the Series 1 right out of the water in the quality department. It's not even close.

 

Cost depended on what week you put down your deposit... because Shelby/Venture would jack it up $20,000 or so every few weeks.

Getting the deposit back seemed to be an issue if you didn't want the car after the price hike of the hour...
