See the FULL 2-minute American Revolution commercial here:
Well, this is not really related that much but I didn't want to start a new thread and I thought I would share this.
On one of the local radio stations, they have one of the DJ's doing a commercial for BMW and one of the tag lines is as follows:
"Are you tired of driving around in your Domestic, union built pile of crap.............................". I think they went overboard with that radio spot and it kinda pissed me off. There is still too much of that mentality out there and the competition loves to prey on that. It's time to put that to rest once and for all.

As much as I hate to say it, the SSR was the best part of the commercial. When it does the e-brake spin, grabs reverse, spins the tires in reverse, and then backs up the hauler, all while Magic Carpet Ride is playing. That's the best part of the commercial.
I would have liked to see the 'Vette get more sideways when it came around the corner.
And too bad the SSR didn't come with a stick. It would have been cool to see the driver in the ad double clutching and slamming into reverse and then smoking the tires while backing up.
Overall, one of the best car commercials in a long, long time.

To paraphrase something that I heard once....and I agreed with.."The problem with Chevrolet is, there are no 14 year old boys, with tears in their eyes, begging their fathers to buy a Lumina"
My 8 year has now seen the "Car Carrier" commercial several times. He's gotten out his 1/18th scale die cast SSR to play with and I've overheard him saying that Chevrolet's are the coolest cars in the world.
So there you go....

on a side note, I read recently that the SSR is the best selling toy car based on a real car, and THAT WAS BEFORE THE SSR WAS EVEN OUT
THe SSR may not make a lot of profit for GM but it is a great marketing tool and attention getter.
Even my wife called that commercial cool. I swear the sky is falling or something. Chevy just got some ***** and recognized that it used to be a player in the performance world.. and now wants to play again. Though they always have been to a degree. I think (other than corvette) Perhaps now they aren't so afraid to be publicly known as a "fun" car to drive.
Or perhaps I'm just too excited about it.. and reading far too into it. I'm going to bed now... too late for me.
