Road & Track's "Sneek Peek 2007 and Beyond" New CTS on the Way.
In the new issue of R&T they have a nice segment about future cars. They have a sneek peek article about the 2007 CTS and a pic. The pic. looks unbelievably real, it really looks like you are looking at a real car. But it must be CG rendered pic. Anyways the car (pic.) looks really good, better lines and still carries a aggressive Art & Science theme. They actually called it Art & Science theme to the extreme.
Question: Will the current CTS-V get the LS7 or will they wait for the redesign in '07? And whats with that CTS-Super V? Will there be two high performance CTS's or is the Super-V just a test bed for the next gen CTS-V with 500hp LS7?
On another note the 2007 and beyond sneek peek segment had no info on a RWD coupe from Chevy. I am really starting to wonder why the automotive media hasn't picked this up yet?

The CTS in RT is a computer image, not a real thing. I think it looks a lot cleaner and more pleasing to the eye. I hope that Lutz leaves the smaller CTS alone, and doesnt touch the lines. I think its part of what gives the cars like the CTS, XLR, and Lade its cool factor.
I dont think there will be a CTS-V with an LS7. I think that the STS should get the LS7, CTS gets teh upcoming 6.2 making mid 400's. I dont care about DOHC jazz..its about hp, and the LS7 has it in spades.

As for the Chevy coupe, at the risk of sounding sarcastic, seeing the minefield that materializes whenever the subject comes up compared with GM's other future cars, it wouldn't surprize me if they just washed their hands of mentioning it even though there's plenty of sources who do.

I like that one a lot better than the current model. They do need to change the accord rear end though. It looks good but it should definately not be associated with an accord.
