You don't wanna jump ship to a Ford anyway. Come on, just buy GM.

If they bring it over here I'm sure it wouldn't have any problems selling. Heck it would probably be compared to the Lightning even though they are very different. What do these bad boys run in the 1/4? Are they slower than the Monaros down under? Ude/AnthonyHSV care to comment?
The SS sedan does 0-100km in 5.82 secs and 1/4 in 13.97.
Has same output has the SS ute(315hp) They are about the same weight.

Don't know the times for the maloo ute. However it has the 350hp version of the gen3.
current holden ss ute >>

notice something about the exhaust?

There isn't anything that an El Camino would "replace". SSRs? S10s? Camaros? El Camino would be the only vehicle of it's kind in the US.

From what I gather, the business case for bringing the UTE over here was extremely easy till the tariffs came up.

I love El Caminos!!

I personally would love to have a G-body El Camino SS with an LC2 in it!

2 things...

1. its built of a Car body could it get through a loop hole?

2. US & Australia are working on a free trade agreement so that 25% Tariff will be mute issue..

(if the agreement goes ahead)

I like that MUCH better than the other pictures of Utes I've seen. It's the only one that appears to have the cab-to-bed transition as smooth as I would like. What model is that?

1. That was Lutz's original idea, but apparently it couldn't.

2. I think that would open the US market to alot of excellent vehicles (ie: the 5.4 DOHC Boss Falcon UTE!).

That is a concept based on the HSV maloo ute. Its called the Utester. Look at my links in the above posts to see the actual maloo ute and the holden SS ute.

Well I definitely like it. It's exactly what I always thought the Ute needed to look like.

Hey, the plant that made the original El Camino in KC is still here. Though run down and abandoned.

Sorry to burst your bubble but...

It was a special editon HRT styled Maloo and came with a LS6...

They also had a boat that had a LS1 engine you could get in the same package. (I think from memory the boat trailer was styled only the lines of the HRT Ute..
