Question Remember when the 2004 GTO was going to have a shift light?

It don't anymore. For whatever reason, GM must have cancelled it for production. It doesn't say anything in the owner's manual (as far as I could see), and the GTO site that used to show it come on when it hit near redline doesn't show it come on anymore. The light is still there, it just seems non functional (I've expirenced this in person and on the GTO site video). Anyone else notice this yet and have a real reason for the exclusion?

There appears to be a light in the cluster but it isn't functional. It may work with a bit of playing around with the computer (ls1edit or something).

I read that some tuners in aus can program any light in the cluster to light up at a set rpm so I guess it could be enabled.
