I'm within 4 miles of 2 Ford dealers, and so i think i'll be paying both a visit just for a quick look and a possible test drive just so i can see the 05 upclose. So far, the closest i've gotten to one was at the autshow.

Well, took about a 45 minute drive and found an 05 GT in a small NE texas town. It was completely loaded. The Mach 1000 system had a sticker price of $1775
. It had a sticker of about $28500.
I have to say I liked the look of this car in person. It was very nice, i didnt think I would like the large fog lights but they gave the car a very nice look. I could probably do without the vintage keylock/gas cap cover on the trunk though, and I didnt like the all red leather interior but I know that can be changed. I wasnt crazy about the spinners they had in the brochure either.
The dealership was closed so no test drive but the cleaning lady gave me a brochure. My wife absolutely loves this car. While we were there a car load of 3 teenage girls(in a white 99+ mustang) got out and drooled over it for about 10 minutes. Another sign this car will continue to do well in the female market is last night I was at a cookout with some friends and all our wives/gf's were with us. My wife is 32 and the other 3 ladies were between 25-28 and they got to talking about the new mustang and how each just had to have one. After looking at it, even a white one, i have to say it will do well in all markets. here are some pics.

You know; those wheels look a heck of a lot better than the ones that are coming on them from the factory. Maybe a little small but the car needs to be dropped about 2-3" all the way around.

If you notice, the seats are still wrapped in plastic. Could this be a test drive gone wrong? Somebody decided to give it all go, spun out and wrapped a tree?
Or could it be that the car "fell" while being unloaded from the trailer?
Whatever the case, it's too bad to see such a fine machine already in such a shape.
