scoops are for icecream, leave them off the hood. having them as an option doesn't even make sense either. i'd rather GM spend the money they would on developing a hood with scoops (and cirtifying, etc) on something more useful. if enough peole want scoops on their hood, there will be an aftermarket option.

I would rather see 400hp LS2, with just an AutoX package then throwing on, IMO, tacky hood scoops just to please a few die hards.
People looking at a luxury performance coupe dont look at the GTO and say "well, it doesnt have hood scoops, so I guess Ill go with a ...." Only people that are upset are die-hard enthusiasts who want the 60's back.
