Redesigned DeVille will be FWD. One afterwards will be bigger, RWD & V12 powered.

Came across that info some time ago, but an article in Autoweek put it in print. It's about Lutz moving Cadillac's flagship up in size as it once was:

"Cadillac's strategy likely will change, but not until the redesigned rear-drive DeVille bows toward the end of this decade.

The redesigned rear-drive Seville is expected to debut for the 2005 model year, renamed the STS. Until the new DeVille debuts, the STS will be positioned as the flagship sedan.

Last month, GM announced that funding had been approved for the production of a 7.5-liter V-12 engine capable of more than 500 hp. "
