4 halo cars at Craft Centre
www.autonews.com reports that the SSR may only be one out of four low volume "halo" cars crafted at the Lansing Craft Centre.
Anyone have any idea about the other three? The story mentions a low volume Caddy sedan also.

The Sedan will most likely be the V16 Caddy that they say will be on next years show circuit...I hear they wanna take on the Mecedes maybach with it..
As for whatelse...I am guessing a Halo car from Saturn and Buick since the GTO will be made Austrailia for the forseable future. Unless they really make the Solstice (God please not!)

Tney should make the Solstice or a Solstice like car. Just because most of us like V8s doesnt mean GM should ignore a very large market segmant. The truth is GM would sell mre of them in a few years than all the f-bodys. Have you guys seen the sales numbers for the Fiero...... HUGE for that type of car. Why not repeat?

"An appeal reportedly to be filed today regarding a state air permit issued for the Craft Centre could delay the proposed facility expansion for months, forcing GM to abandon Lansing as the manufacturing home of its new Chevrolet SSR Roadster. The appeal directly jeopardizes more than 400 union jobs at the Craft Centre and hundreds of related jobs throughout the community."

Wasn't that in the news about 6-9 months ago? I thought that had been long resolved.

You should reserve your "please god no!" for the ghastly SSR, I can count on one hand how many people I've talked to who liked it, but I don't have enough fingers and toes for the people who don't.
