4thgen front end scrape? Puhleeeease. Try thirdgen scrape. It's damn near impossible to not scrape even turning on to the slightest inclined street or driveway. My air-dam is scraped to hell, and so is my front gfx. But I like the looks of it, so I can live with the scrape.

Yup, Third Gens are lower and have GFX, you gotta be careful. Looks alot cooler though.

Actually, theres a few new Cavaliers at my local Chevy dealership that cost under $15K before rebates. I agree with your point however.

Even I concur with this one

Although, my Z is far less a pain in the *** than my RS was to park. That is nice. But for coolness? I have to side with the third gen guys...

I don't care what anyone says...to me, a 3rd gen RS is the nicest styled Camaro ever, period. Not the fastest. Not the best handling. Not the most luxurious. And certainly not the most collectible. But take an IROC and minus the stripes and gaudy hood scoops, and what do you have? The prettiest Camaro ever made

A plain looking Camaro. And that's coming from an RS owner. IROC-Zs and Z28s are where its at. That's why they tried to make the RS's look something like them!

Eh, to each their own I guess...

Don't get me wrong, I plan to own an IROC in a couple years as soon as I get the GP paid off. But to me, the stripes and add ons of the IROC sort of goop up the basic lines of the car. Even period road tests said the same thing (I have dozens). RPO DX3 stripe delete on IROCs came out for a reason

I have lots of them too and only recall 1 or 2 saying that. And the delete wasn't chosen by many, with it they don't look as nice and distinctive. Mind as well go for a 91-92 Z28 instead! I think even 1st Gens had an unpopular stripe delete also.

I made sure to check off that little known box when I ordered my IROC. You got a $65 credit too. I would have gladly paid $65 extra for DX3 if they wanted it.

You guys are boring. The type that would order a 1st Gen Z28 without the stripes. (and maybe even without the cowl hood!)

(DOH!)

Ummm, you do realise that 2/3 of the first gen Z/28's didn't even have a cowl hood?

I'm still a little miffed the 4th gen SS is the one that got the ralley stripes.

67 and 68 had no cowl hood even though it would have been cool, (although there was an underhood cowl induction setup on some Z28s) I was obviously talking about the year after, which IIRC didn't even have them at 1st, or chambered exhaust. They came mid-model year. I'm not only limited to Third Gens in knowledge keep in mind.

You mean the 35th SS? Me too if that's what you're talking about! Should have been the 35th Z28, with its Z28 stripes.
