I am very hopeful for the best.

However, I have been surprised in the past. I was really happily shocked at Kappa's level of sophistication. Also, a year ago when word was leaking out about Mustang having front struts and rear live rear axle...I didn't initially believe it. I was sure it was purposely leaked disinformation.

So, like I said, I'm very hopeful that the 5th gen Chevy Coupe won't disappoint. I'm 80% sure.

Well.....

I'll just say this and leave the rest up to you:

The front suspension of the new Holden cars previewed by Bob Lutz & company DID NOT have MacPhearson struts.

If my memory serves correct when execs. have the chance to drive a car ala preview they are generally in Beta stage. Gotta go check A.C.A.R. Just checked and I was right. So does that mean that Holden will start production next calendar year? That would leave the new models to debut, in auto shows, late in this year or in early next calendar year. So would they be MY06?

I would like to bring this back from the dead, with all the talk about the next Riv and Gui's post bringing everyone else up to speed.

Does anyone think that the future Chevy coupe platform aka the Riviera's platform will carry a different name than Zeta. The concept car's name is Velite right now.

What if Zeta=VE=sigma mass and VE lite =something a little different? Even if the basic design is the same, and I am sure it is afterall the platform is Modular, doesn't that mean that another designation will be used for it ala Suburban and Tahoe. I think that Velite is a named just that because someone wants those listening closely to know it isn't the quite the same as Zeta. Any speculation on this will be cool.
