Exclamation

That was a "one-off" Firebird done at the same time the "one-off" Camaro was. It's from a couple of extra F-bodies GM's engineers were done playing around with.

I suspect there is some website somewhere this nonsense came up, and it's finally reached here.

So... for the 2nd time in 3 days:
F-body production stopped on August 2, 2002, and the factory was shortly there after taken apart. This means... THERE IS NO 2003 F-BODY!!!!

That car (and the so-called 2003 Camaro from day before yesterday) was NOT a preview of the 5th gen, it was NOT a 2003 model, it was NOT a special edition, there was NO limited production f-body in 2003, there was NO aftermarket that got ahold of some f-bodies & called them 2003s, NO Elvis wasn't kidnapped by aliens, and NO Tupac didn't fake his own death.

Bigfoot & the Loch Ness Monster are still pending.

FWIW, Yes, I really like that car, but it was on display 2 years ago.

BTW, welcome to the 5th gen form .

I think part of the rumored confusion is due to the fact that a portion of the GMAC financing website once showed a 2003 Firebird on its list if 2003 "future" vehicles.

A simple mess-up by some web-head.

I know the 2003 firebird was a concept not a production car. I know production was ended on 2002 for the f-bodies. I was just asking for pictures of the 2003 firebird concept and if anyone possibly knew the specs.

First of all, that particular car was actually a '98 model that GM staff modified in 2002.

Second, "concept" implies it is a clue at a future vehicle. Since there is no future firebird, that car cannot be a concept. It was a show car, PERIOD.

Consider it a special show car to commemorate firebird history. That one car is the ONLY one like it made. Same goes for the Camaro.

Just call it the Woodward Dream Cruise Firebird...

Yeah, for pics, go to www.mtfba.org and photo gallery. We've got several pics of it in Bowling Green and at the Atlanta Gathering.
