That was probably base sticker for a Dodge Ram. Heck, a base Silverado 2500 costs about $26,000.

A base silvy costs 26? Your crazy. My dads '02 5.3 Z71 loaded except leather was $28.5K. There is NO WAY id fork out 26k for a short bed, plastic grill, regular cab, V6 silvy. Especially when you compare the price of those two.

edit: wow Im misreading everything I better get some sleep

Wait until Chevy comes up with a Turbo pick up (dreaming here )
Well, all Chevy has to do is look up what the late John Lingenfelter put together in summer of 2000; a twin-turbo, Corvette LS1 powered 3/4 ton Silverado EXT 4x4...! (He reused the 6.0L intake b/c it was based on the LS1 and throttle connections were easy..)
$35K for the truck, +$30K for his mods = $65,000.00 total

16mpg
500HP@5400...500lbft@4800..@6psi...and capable of hitting 650HP by tuning...
0-60 = 4.68 seconds!..
1/4 mile = 12.93@105.51
(In 4wd mode.!!!, even then traction was minimal..and the TALL 4x4 truck was very aerodynamically challenged.. )
Est. top speed around 150 mph... in a 4x4..

How sweet would that be if GM came back out with the Sy/Ty twins again to compete with these super trucks.

I just nutted in my pants

Or a regular pickup truck that didn't look like *** The last truck they ever made that was good looking was the mid 90's 2500 regular cab. The 2000 2500-3500HD's were nice, but too tinny and rounded for me.

I don't think it needs any more weight added on........if anything they should find a way to reduce the weight. It's a pig.

As for a price reduction.......you just wait and see - people will flock to buy this thing in crazy numbers......

Why reduce the price of something that is a complete success?
If anything I can see the price going up in future years.
