A question

If the new GTP has 260hp, why would the 04 Monte Carlo and Impala have 240hp? Isnt it the same engine with the same supercharger? Or is it just a matter of tuning?

GM's placing Pontiac as the lead performance division.

It's nothing that a chip won't solve.

Other than Corvette, does this mean all Chevy cars will have less hp than Pontiacs?

I dont want the Camaro to have two hp caps. Corvette is enough, I dont want Pontiac keeping our car down too.

The Impala/Monte use the "Series II" engine (bigger supercharger pulley). The Grand Prix uses the "Series III" engine (smaller supercharger pulley => more boost). Simple as that.
