I wish they could define closer to stock...

Seeing a FWD Camry out there with a Mustang and Camaro would be hilarious.

I would bet they will still be a tubular frame chassis. I could see a sealed fuel injected production based motor (LPE was building LS series motors this way for a spec series).

I don't see a problem with a tube chasis. Let's consider the safety of the drivers in all this. I want them to allow fuel injection, stock bodies dropped over the tube chasis, and OHC. I say if Ford thinks their OHC motors are better than a pushrod engine, let them prove it on the track. And last but not least force Toyota to build something cool to compete?

This would make NASCAR a little bit more appealing to watch...

No to full tube chassis.
Just put a roll cage in a stock car. That's what they used to do.

They can't go to a less safe car without drastically lowering the speed.

They will in GAC, granted they are somewhat based on production stuff, but I think thats about as close as your gonna get unless somebody wants to do something like the Miller Mustang series and include GM plus Dodge (and that would be nothing but WIN!)

I know, didn't know there were any pictures till you mentioned it so I searched for the Challenger. Posted them incase there were others who hadn't seen as well.

Definitely a step in the right direction. If they brought in the Camaro I think I might actually watch NASCAR. But really there should be a race series like Trans Am where the car companies race cars that you can actually get, unfortunately I don't think that's ever happening again.

The only bad thing is they are doing this for the "Nationwide" series that NO1 watches.

I guess GM is going to drop the ball on this one too.
If those pictures are NASCAR's best attempt at bringing back pony cars to racing, I wont watch. Just use stock bodies with the COT underneath it.
