Pursuit is Canada only. Sunfire soldiers on in the US only, at least for a little while.

Since we're not getting the Cobalt until a year after you guys, I guess Lordstown is switching right away while Ramos Arizpe will produce Cavs for us and Sunfires for you. I wonder if that means you will get the Sunfires for only a year? I thought they were going to last longer, but would it make sense to keep a production line open only for Sunfires?

I hope not. Thanks for confirming what I thought I had heard. I pray the Sunfire goes away soon. It needs to, every bit as bad as the Cavalier. If Pontiac wants to complete this image transformation, it has to have a solid bottom end too...

I posted this in another thread, but it applies here as well... Lordstown's Delta line is seperate and independant from it's J-car line, so I am wondering if they are going to continue running the J-line to produce Sunfire for the U.S.

Lordtown UAW has an agreement that all Cav's and Sunfire sold in the U.S. must be built at Lordstown... not sure if that remains in tact after Cobalt production starts...

My inside source also said "We are going ot keep the J-car line in existance incase Cobalt is a flop... that way we can continue to build Cavaliers..." I found that quite odd, but it's hard to dismiss what this particular person says.

I more logical answer is that Sunfire production will continue at Lordstown.

That doesn't exactly instill a lot of confidence in me that Chevy's next small car will be right there with the Civic and Focus.

Ya, that was exactly my thought too... normally I'd dismiss it.. .but, this person is involved in 'things' there... so it's hard to just toss the comment aside.
