Poll of the Week: Buick design- good or bad?

Decided to throw up another poll since the other one went well enough. Still haven't met the weekly basis though.

Basically vote for the cars that you LIKE and think epitomize what Buick design is/all around should be.

I think the Velite is a knockout design. When it was at the SF car show in fall 2004 there was a crowd around it, which is unusual for any domestic manufacturer in the bay area. The Soltice also drew a crowd and look at how it's selling today.

Enclave looks to be just outstanding.

Lucerne looks decent.... seems to have good value for the price point.

LaCrosse is nice, except it has that Taurus-like front end....

Overall, though, I could only get myself to vote for Enclave.... I liek the other two, but not enough to say that they are all they can be for Buick.

Well, this poll pretty much sums up what I thought, at least so far..
LaCrosse;
so clean that it's boring and bland, I'd take the last Regal over it, anyday! LeSAbre; shouldn't be considered replaced by this, more likely, absorbed by an entry level Lucerne.

Rainier;
Buick's "Escape", uneventfull and uninteresting...more of an entry Chevy level car.

Terraza;
Just plain weird looking, is it a minivan or an SUV???

Lucerne;
Sleek, sexy, classy, modern and powerful looking, especially from the rear with dual pipes...a HIT to me!

Rendezvous;
Right sized, interesting lines, like the back glass...classy, clean and good contrasts. Hit!

Velite;
Smooth and sexy, yet chiseled and muscular, very modern, classy and FUN looking!..should be a BIG hit!..

Enclave;
Bring it ON!...wow, where do you start...bad @$$...replace the Rainier and Terraza with it, noooo problem...

(edit: you know what, I missed the Enclave in my vote, too hurried..so it shoud be 1 higher..)

I absolutely LOVE the Lucerne. I saw a brand new N* powered Lucerne in silver on my way into work yesterday in the parking lot and it just looks awesome. If Buick offered it in at least AWD and with a 6-speed, I'd probably be very tempted to get one.

The Enclave is really the only Buick on that list that has me thinking the competition needs to be worried. Possibly also the Velite, but I guess I never really considered it in that context because I never though it was actually intended for production... is it?

The rest of their lineup, IMO, is in the range of 'are you kidding me?' to 'could be great if they fixed a few things'.

Re: Poll of the Week: Buick design- good or bad?

I voted Lucerne, Enclave and Velite. From what I have seen, Lucerne has gotten high marks, even from the ToyoHonda cuddlers that write for the Detroit News. I think that really says something.
Enclave is going to be a hit. As my one friend put it at NAIAS, "the exterior of the Enclave just makes the Rendezvous look dumpy." That interior is beautiful as well.
Velite is about what I'd expect from a big Buick cruiser....classy. We're still pretty unsure if Buick will get a piece of Zeta though aren't we?

The Ranier on the surface might look like any other Trailblazer/Envoy re-hash, but it does have a very nice interior. It is a nice truck, but I couldn't bring myself to vote for it because, well, it's a Trailblazer/Envoy spinoff. Been there, done that. LaCrosse does nothing for me. Terrazza? Why does Buick have a minivan? GM is fooling no one with those "tough minivan mugs."

I guess it's kinda like owning a Lexus...you have to own one before you see what all the fuss is about, huh?

Just to clarify....we are voting on design. I figure with all the other stuff you could factor in (price, fuel economy, hp, etc.) it would get too muddled to vote for any.
Feel free to make a poll like that though.

Enclave is the 1st SUV I've ever gushed about regarding it's styling, and the only Buick whose styling I've ever gushed about.

What does that tell you?

I agree, the more "exciting" styling of the Enclave would look more at home at Pontiac...I think Buick's still trying to redfine itself.
