Thumbs down Sory Kids....

....but this smacks of ricer-dom to the fullest.

Lighted valve stem caps, fart pipes and windshield washer nozzles...along with neon add to the cheezy factor in a big way......maybe I'm just old....I just don't need this kind of visual stimulation.

Give me readable analog gages and I'm good to go.

I don't think so, really... it does have some value.

I know a lot of people who complain about Pontiac's red interior lighting... say it's hard to read.... then, on the other hand, there are those who love it, and say it's easier on the eyes.

I don't see anything wrong with it, really.

I agree, whats wrong with picking the color of the gage lights you want? I bet he wouldn't say it was rice if you only got one color choice and if was factory option. I know a lot of people that love the VW blue gages, and people that like the Pontiac red. This way now everyone is happy. Why would you want to spend many hours and dollar to changes the color of your dash lights when you could just turn a **** and changed them in seconds for FREE.

Doesn't the new GTO have a choice of gauge color that matches the body color?

I pretty much agree with what everyone else has been saying. Cool feature, but its too bad they couldn't spread those gauges out a little. Thats probably why they used such a large scale on the speedo.

I like the feature, and I like the way the guages look. The center guages look a bit cramped, but it doesn't bother me. Personally I've gotten tired of seeing generic, boring guages everywhere and this is a nice change of pace.

It is an option and I think it rules. I like the layout and fonts. Of course, I also like old mustangs, but what can I say.

At least the car looks different than every other car on the road. Besides, the same people complaining that the Mustang is too retro are the same one's complaining that the GTO doesn't have hoodsoops or a hood mounted tach.

Thumbs down

The color changing is clever... but doesn't even come close to making up for the hideous choice of font, scale and needle interference. There is a REASON dials like this are no longer in use... they are DIFFICULT to read. IF the new Mustang came with a HUD this sin could be forgiven....

I suppose you mean different than every other car on the road except for 1967-68 era Mustangs??

Not all...

I still think it looks more like a current mustang than a 1967...

Actually, I've owned a few of those, too. But you're right. It doesn't look like anything but a Mustang - and that's why I like it.

As you probably know, I currently own a Bullitt Mustang, and it has just the right amount of "retro" for me. Enough so that when I get in, it feels like a Mustang, not just some new car with a running horse on it. I don't see the new car as being that much more retro, with the exception of the front clip (which I bet will be modernized in the next restyle).

I've already got similar gauges, seats with old style stitching, a twin brow dash, a bunch of fake scoops (tradition since 1964 ), rolled exhaust tips, torque thrust wheels, a chrome gas cap, a hex grille with corral, and taillights in clusters of 3.

Oh whatever. I like it. What can I say.

Maybe the aftermarket will offer a device which allows the colors to throb and undulate to disco music!

Yeah I agree with that. But I think it's good that they offer 125 unique colors
