Sorry, but I think those guages suck. Let's remove functionality and ergonomics for the sake of retro, good move!

Hey they stole that idea from me I was just thinking about that a few months ago.

THat is so HOT, congrats to Ford for being the first. My cousin has a Deck in his car that does the same thing, very cool.

I like the changing colors thats it.

The design and layout of the guages look very 80's. Whats the deal with Ford and guages for the Stang, they always look so cramped and confined like they ran out of room trying to squeeze more in. The guages come ut looking toy like because they are so small and numbers so big. Why couldn't they have the look of the 04 F150????

In the 80s, those guages would have looked old. Thats a late 60s look they have there. The configurable color idea is a good one IMO but the degree of "retroness" they have saddled on that car and its interior is absurd.

I think the color changing idea is pretty neat, but I agree that the styling and such is not so good... in particular the font of the numbers, and the way they are layed out... don't care for it.

Exclamation

Whoa!

That's one of those simple ideas that ends up being extremely cool, and it leaves you wondering why noone else thought of this before!

Once word gets out (along with a few demonstrations) the younger crowd and aftermarketers will make this the next big thing just like those clear tail light lenses, luminicent guage backgrounds, and "A" pillar guages turned out to be.

VERY nice!!!

simple feature, but it already multiplies the car's coolness factor by 10

So let me get this right...If I buy a new mustang in 2005, every time I flip my interior lights on I can choose a different color to illuminate my gauges? Cooooooool!

Cool idea, but that cluster may be worse than the fox's cluster. Wow.

The color changing is pretty cool.

But the gauge layout sucks.

The gauges are too cramped and the scale is horrible. It won't be easy to see how fast you're going with just a glance.

Yep, that was my point. The adjustable color background is a neat idea but c'mon...there's reasons they don't design speedos and tachs the way they did in the 60's. With that ultra-cramped scale there's no way those guages are going to maintain a reasonable degree of accuracy.

I want to hear people tell me that the next Mustang isn't retro again.
