It would be a cool car. But I suspect that the 5.6l V8 would be too big for the G35 platform, both in length and height. Now there will be an M45 shortly that is essentially a G35 with the V8, and perhaps a bit more interior room. But it's a 4 door sedan.

I think a M45 2 door coupe would probably weigh around 3800 pounds, though.

Cars are going to keep getting only heavier over the years with all the options and safety stuff. The only low weight performance cars will be the low option or straight performance models. It's OK though, because alot of power can be made today while still being efficient. The only thing is you usually have to pay for power.
