All I'm saying is lets stop taking what are actually beliefs and opinions and positing them as feelings, because I think we muddle our language too much as it is.

Words mean things. "I feel" is not a substitute for "I think", they mean different things.
Poor choice of words on my part.

I definitely "think" that the Camaro could have a much more effective (for the masses as well as the enthusiast) suspension set up than it has had in the past.

But we'll just have to agree to disagree I guess...

The Mustang is rated for 320 ft/lbs @ 4500 rpm (which means it has 274 HP at 4500 rpm). Peak HP is 300 @ 5750 rpm (which means it has 274 lb/ft torque at 5750 rpm).

The Infiniti G35 is rated for 260 lb/ft @ 4800 rpm (which means it has 238 HP at 4800 rpm). Peak HP is 298 @ 6400 rpm (which means it has 245 lb/ft torque at 6400 rpm).

Draw your own conclusions. Mine would be that the Mustang would be much more forgiving, given that it makes better power in the mid range, and thus won't hurt you so much if you don't keep the rpm up. But with competent drivers in both, there shouldn't be much difference in the power department.

It should be noted that my Road Race experience is quite limited....not non-existant, but limited.

Didn't take it that way. Thanks for the numbers link, very educational.

What I'm suggesting is that is the increase sales for the Mustang relevant to no more Camaro (droppin gthe 'bird from the argument...bad point on my part).

Also, please don't lump me in with the 'Camaro owner's excuse maker' crowd,
I'm well aware of why the Mustang sells better, and my mind can be changed.

Too much money???

The base price on the Mustang runs from $20K to $32K; that's well within the price range of a 350Z or G35 and probably the other's as well except for, perhaps the BMW.
