Except for the grill, I kind of like it.
For a Chevy, the interior is uncharacteristically, pretty nice.

Re: Official HHR pics.
The grille isnt too bad. Kinda reminds me of the mid to late 50s chevy trucks. I am actually surprised that it will be offered with a manual tranny. Overall I would give it an A-.. Very well put together by the pics anyways.
Re: Official HHR pics.
Wow , the finished product actually looks pretty damn good . Is has a PT cruiser'ish theme , but seeing that I wouldnt call it a rip off at all . Its looks to be so much bigger . It really looks like the retro 49 Suburban that chevy said was its inspiration , even though it was the PT's success that sealed the deal . Interior looks great . Looks like GM is finally getting there act together there . Maybe they will beable to peddle 100K of these things . The key to that I guess will be in the HHR's option list .
95_LT1_6SPD- that interior looks nothing like a PT's at all

WOW, I totally hated the idea of this thing but production pics have totally swayed my opinion. The steering wheel is awesome looking. Interior is fantastic, It debuted in a non bland color!!!! Bling Bling Grill (it looks overdone but it don't look too bad). Also I hope the 5 lug wheels stay for the base model (hopefully they'll switch the Cobalt over to 5 lug as well for the base ls and lt. But this thing seriously don't look half bad It reminds me of a cross inspiration between a PT, and Mini Cooper but suburbanized with style and sized from the 40's suburban's. I didn't plan on liking this thing but seeing this really made me change my mind.
Guys Chevy's on the comback, the Cobalt looks to be a success and the SS seems to be one of best ever FWD preformance cars ever produced, The Impala with the refresh looks to have brought some class to the name and looks good. the HHR totally shocked me and I'm now a fan of it. I hope the Monte Carlo refresh is good as well.
The Malibu hopefully gets a refresh in the next year or so and a few interior tweaks to improve over what they have now which is a pretty decent car.
The Colorado I think looks good outside wise and hope nothing's changed. I haven't personally sat in one of these so the Interior I dunno about but some say it could get refreshed as well. I say tweak it, offer more colors on the sport model. SS version, 6 cylinder engine option, and other minor things and the Colorado can become class leading. But now it's a pretty decent truck
The GMT-800's are about to give way to the GMT-900's hoping they will set the bar in style, quality, feel, preformance, use, and class and overall beat its competitors. Hopefully GM will do as well as they have on a few of the new vehicles.
The trailblazer hopefully will get a refresh in a year or 2 and tweaking and updates to interior and such to please more of the automotive world and the Equinox only thing I am seeing wrong with it is maybe the base model plastic on the bumpers and waiting for the soon to come SS version.
As for the halo vehicles the Vette has set the bar again and I really have no suggestions, as for the SSR the LS2 helped and turned the truck into more of a preformer. I'd rather see something else but I gotta admit these things's are cool looking.
Last thing I got to say is that the American Revolution 2.0 will start and blast off when ZETA arrives in the hands of GM North America hopefully a certain USA colored badge will show up on a certain pony car to serve as a middle brother to the Coupe's in the Chevy family roasting tires and carving corners and taking the Stang's sales.
I feel that we are starting to see the new regime of GM starting to come out very clear in 05. Let this Supercharged American Revolution roll on and reach to the top of the auto industry.

Re: Official HHR pics.
Wow, i am very pleasantly surprised! Kind of has an aggressive look to it with the way it sits. Nothing makes me think of a PT cruiser when i see it, which is very good.
Has the same steering wheel as the Z06:

Re: Official HHR pics.
That's the ugliest thing I've ever seen.....
... like someone combined a RAV-4 With a 1930's Tractor and put a Chevy emblem on it... Another Flop from GM... Where are all these awful Retro-Futuristic designs comming from for GM? The design team must be whacked out on crystal meth when they make this crap.
Well I can't seem to make a post in the 5th gen forum without someone starting an argument... so I'm sure one will soon come...shortly after this post.

Re: Official HHR pics.
all I can say is...looks like a competitor just like Camaro was to Mustang...they looked like pony cars...the same stuff in them...or even small trucks they all share the same things but look a little diffrent...or heck even regular trucks..all have a cab and bed..and the only big diffrence is front end...
this is a nice addition and should sell well...wonder if you can get one with just the bar in the middle and not all chromes out..yea I know just wondering about a single bar..and not 100 of them on the grill

Re: Official HHR pics.
Well, I am surprised too, I actually like it. The main problem I see, and it is a big problem, is that it resembles the PT Cruiser too much and I think the public will see this and dissmiss the HHR as a copycat. We'll see.
Re: Official HHR pics.
i personally don't like it (then again i'm not park of the target audience so who cares
)
but if everybody else likes it like theyre saying, and the buying public does, that'll be awesome
i agree with intimidator, chevy and gm as a whole, are really bringing it together
i hope the american revolution becomes american domination soon enough
