Wink Nothing big.

The Buick coupe has a name.

It's Rivera.

The design theme is likely to be on display at the New York Auto Show this spring.

Was initially slated to be on Kappa, but is being moved to a slightly larger chassis. Smaller than GTO.

Your guess is probably correct.

Or is it Riviera? This is what the "old" Buick coupes were called.

Bigger than Kappa smaller than Zeta, I guess that means a 3rd derivitive platform is in the works and it could suit a certain chevy very well. Definately wanna keep up with this.

Zeta is modular, I think smaller than GTO just means Camaro sized Zeta

I would love to see a new Buick coupe named "Riviera." It's a classic name and I thought that the last Riviera was a beautiful car that hit the market at the wrong time. Right smack dab in the movement from big coupes to SUVs that also Killed the T-Bird and Cougar. It would be great news if it's Riviera, though. When you have classic, well-loved names like Riviera, Roadmaster, Elektra, Wildcat, Centurion, Skylark, and (soon) Century and Regal not being used on anything I don't know why they come up with stuff like "Terraza" and "LaCrosse."

I'm thinking it will follow the same path as the GTO & Solstice did: lot's of "We're working on it" and then an announcement a year or so before they actually start producing it.

And yes.... I did catch your accurate assesment of all this.

I remember when Guion first broke the news of a Buick coupe a few months ago. I guessed that Buick would call it the Riviera. I guess I was right. <as I pat myself on the back>
