which cam

Called Comp Cams and they told me that with my mods to go with a XE07-501-8 212* 218* @ .050" .488int .495exh 112lsa 4* advance the guy said that the cc305 was too big. I know it isn't too big. What should I get. I need to pass emmisions. It is not my everyday car.

Thanks!

Rob.

goals?
how high do you want to rev?
heads?

I say 224/230 on a 110 LSA since you have a 6spd... but your goals/limits may varry

Trey I am not to knowledgable on cam choices. My motor has 100,000 miles on it. What could I rev it to safely?

Thanks for the reply.

i wouldn't hesitate to rev 6400, maybe even further to 6600 depending on how terrrible of a situation a spun bearing would create

i'm no cam expert but i think a 224/230 on a 110 would best suit your needs

check that thread out - rich gives a good run down

you want a shorter peakier powerband with a m6 than i would want using 3 gears of the A4. I need braoder power band, thats why i opted for a 110 or 112 over a 108... i think i'm going 224/230 on a 112 with some nice lift

i a 350- i'd guess 6500 at least with good heads. LT4 hot cam guys are revving to 6300 all day... this is a lot bigger than the LT4 hotcam too..

6400 is my guess.

I'm using that cam with rediculious lift (well, for a hydrolic roller) in my 383 and hoping for 6500 -6600 shift points.

Thats if i decide against the turbo project
I'm having a hard time passing up this idea
