I would also think at $60-70,000 this car will be an Infiniti.

The move to the use of a normally asirated large-displacement engine for North America was based largely on emissions concerns, as turbocharged cars can have difficulties with 160,000km duration of Cailfornia's emissions certification"
AWD V8 sports car.. sounds interesting.. $70k? It really better perform.. I don't like the look.
I really hope the Z06 doesn't creep into that relative price range
twin-turbo 6's have become an emissions nightmare for some builders, unless they want to run 3 cats like the WRX STI...It's just less a headache from their standpoint to get the power n/a...I do see the trend of imports going towards V8s in the future...I know they'll be smooth, high-revving and highly-refined, but mano-a-mano i don't see them stacking up well against future domestic engines like the next gen LS1, Hemi, or Ford's 3V 5.4...All I forsee is them getting
to the nth degree
to the nth degree

So if the G35 is the Skyline, that is a HUGE departure from the previous generation. Do they sell the G35 in Japan as the Skyline?

So the 350z and the new skyline are basically the same car. That would be like the Camaro and Corvette sharing the same platform and most mechanicals, similar styling, yet the Corvette would cost more than twice the price. Aren't Skyline people pissed about this? I mean the new car has NOTHING in common with the old car.

The regular Skyline is being sold here in the US (as Infinity's G35 coupe & sedan), but it's the new R34 type car that's going to be sold here under the Skyline name at Nissan for 70 large.
