At first I thought I was looking at a photo that someone morphed really bad.

Wow, how did this get through the design approval process.


There must have been a Predator poster hanging up in the design studio....LOL

 

I think it would look fine if the grill wasn't so huge. I think that dark bumper that is used to split the grill would make it look better.

 

Yea that's not attractive. That style looked ok on the LF-LC concept but didn't translate well to a production car.

Would like to see the rest of the car.

 

I think that's Lexus's new design look. The GS has it too.

 

They call it the "Spindle Grille." The 2013 LS has it also.

 

It's the new face of Lexus.

The problem is they just grafted it onto the existing designs essentially. So you have this "edgy" front end, and then the same old boring design behind it.

 

Looks terrible.

 

The new IS is quite possibly one the ugliest most confused designs Ive seen in awhile. WOW! All of these mismatched or oddly placed organic textures and shapes are not translating well with car design.

 

Those other examples have the grill split by the bumper. That IS design needs that bumper. I like the new front end designs especially on the LS. All these cars look better than the Acuras IMO.

 

There are way too many aerodynamic intake holes in the bumper. This is not an F-16, this is a car.

Way too busy on the bumper intakes, and the worst part is that the front doesn't match the rest of the car.

A big WTF for Lexus design team and direction.

 

After seeing more pictures from NAIAS. That is not an attractive car. Seems like they are going to great lengths to set their style apart. That's ok if it's a attractive look. This isn't.
