There is a loophole in the law in which you can bring one over. I discovered it after looking it up after encountering someone with a Falcon Ute here in Long Beach.

You can import a car you own from Australia for "personal use" here in the US for 12 months, after which the car has to be returned to the country of origin or else risk being confiscated & destroyed by customs.

If you have an abundance of money to burn, you can then either spend the next year getting government agencies to sign off on it (EPA, DOT, Customs, etc...), get one of the conversion houses out here in LA to do all the work for you, or give it a round trip ticket to Australia, giving yourself another year (about a grand each way).

Hey, I didn't say this loophole was practical.

good point guionM, i was just bout to say not to forget the conversion price, i got a 1995 z28 chev and that would cost bout $ 70.000 aussie, but i got a bargain, $40.000 with 4000 kms on the speedo converted and all, but what made it worth while spendin the money was that there are only like 20-30, 95 camaros here and only like 60 camaros overall in Aust., ahhh wata life, the looks i get lol but im seriously sick of holdens, too many of em here, the only holden i like is the good ol' Monaro which has a chevy 350 in it rated at 13.9 on the quarter stock, i raced one 3 weeks ago, only just beat it, f*k dere mean beasts.
