This is my idea for a 2007 Buick Grand National. Don't hate on me for not knowing much about Buicks, the only thing I know about the original '87 Grand Nationals is that they only came in black and they could beat Corvettes in races. I designed this on a Holden HSV GTO body, with HSV Grange and HSV Maloo parts. I think GM could make a lot of money with something like this. It kind of reminds me of a Nissan Skyline, and if Chrysler can make money off a Bentley lookalike, I'm sure Buick could make a new name for itself with something that looks similar to a Skyline.

The original Grand National was such a god damn sweet car.

 

I'm glad you guys like it . What type of engine do you think GM would/should put in it? The LS2? Or something more traditional? Didn't the originals/famous ones have a turbo charged straight or V 6?

I don't know much about the original car, but I think there should be two versions, one with the Grand Prix GTP's super charged V6 and one with the LS2.

 

The designs look good to me. I really hate that GM would throw a V8 into a car that should only have a v6. The GTP Supercharged v6 doesn't put out enough power, they need to get into turbo-charging(a v6 with 7psi runs as much as an LT1), just like the original.. I wouldn't accept any other engine..

 

It should NOT be a V-8.It should be a 4 v6 liter turbo setup.

 

I read/heard something about turbo charging going out of style in favor of supercharging in regards to auto manufacturers putting them on their cars. I don't remember why, I think it might have been because turbo chargers are more likely to cause problems than super chargers that manufacturers have to cover on warranty.

 

It looks alright. To me it just looks like a Holden flattened out with a Buick badge on it. Nothing too radically different here.

 

I like that too. ONLY Buick that would even be worth a second look.

 

A new Grand National should have nothing else but a turbo V6 in it.

 

How about a supercharged 2 liter ecotec?

 

I respect the effort, but I have to ask why did you put Buick badges on a Monte Carlo? It looks very similar to a current Monte Carlo

 

I like it. I think it would be interesting to see it with a turbo inline 6 and awd, like a Skyline. Kind of doubt the inline 6 would fit in there, though.
