Agreed on all counts. The Grand Prix at the time was already a great looking car (coupe!) But the concept and the resulting production car were amazing. The Mercedes CLS is not the first sedan with a coupe like roofline .

I still have the original press kit for the 300 GPX and I'll never get rid of it. I delayed my first new car purchase at the time because we thought the car would debut as a '96. When I found out it wouldn't come until a year later I went ahead and bought a Black '95 SE Coupe.I just couldn't take another year in a '92 Lumina Euro sedan

If I can find a clean low mile 95 or 96 coupe I'll ****** it up, as that car still looks great today to my eyes.

thats funny about the naming of the cars..

the funny side is I tell everyone its because all the concepts are grey..
