New Gearbox Shifts In Zero Milliseconds!
To top it off, anyone with a basic idea of how things works would know that you need time for the engine and driveshaft to slow down on an upshift or speed up on a downshift for the shift to be smooth.
So basically, it's impossible to complete a shift in 0ms without damaging something.

Wow, hard to beleive it been 3 years already, my how the time flies....
I thought they were 'working with a high end OEM' or race team?? you'd think we would have heard something by now. All I hear is my computer humming away...

Well they still have a website so I guess there's still some life there.

New, even fancier animation to explain how it works:

However it looks like they now have another division to help keep them afloat.

As long as I have this annual reminder in my Palm, this will continue.
Doesn't seem like they've made any major advances. Just added another video showing the shifting action:

They're looking for engineers so their business case must still be somewhat alive.

edit: Though for sporty cars I think DCT has a lock on the near future... those things are a blast to drive and I'd take one in a heartbeat over a CVT for that reason if a sporty sort of vehicle.

If CVT were "all that" they would run them in F-1 instead of sequential manuals. That, or they would be "outlawed" as an unfair advantage. I don't recall of any CVT being legislated in any sanctioned series. ABS? Yes. Traction control? Yes. Launch control? Yes. Etc. ... Etc.
