Re: new CR-V

Looks decent for its class of car - nicely modernized approach from the old one. I'd like the see the interior though. The current interior is very dated looking these days.

Wow, that D-pillar is bad.

What are the engines going to be? I hope the '08 Escape and '08 Vue crush this thing in sales.

Re: new CR-V

Oddly enough the D-pillars on that CRV remind me of the C pillars on the Mercedes CLS. I don't particularly care for either, though neither really offends me either. I'd prefer to think they're so large for some actual reason - like enhanced structural rigidity. But who knows. It seems they are non-existent in the back, so maybe they reduced their presense in the back by moving them to the sides (where you won't be looking from your review mirror anyway).

Maybe its just me, but it looks like the gave it a new nose, curved the glass going to back, and let the rest the same.

I think it follows the general trend of othe small wagons/SUVs that use the side glass to make it look more like a fastback while still retaining a tallish roof.

Overall I think it looks pretty good and is an appropriate evolution of the current CR-V.

Re: new CR-V

But does it have VTEC? I'll wait for the Type-R.
