Never said there wasnt anything to buy. With the SRTs, the last thing I want is a four door car. I have no need for this. Dont have a family and dont plan on one any time soon. 425 hp stock is an incredible amount of power and Im sure if they didnt weigh so much and were a 2 door they would put up numbers I would be thrilled with. For a 4 door car, hell yes they are awesome and fast. The GTO is a good value, Ive rode in one and it drives great. But as I said earlier, it looks too grand am/prix ish for me. I just want a powerful, aggressive looking, 2 door, american v8 rwd car, no imports (Is that too much to ask?). Maybe Im picky. There are some choices out there, just nothing Im looking for except the terminators. I was referring to my frustration to there being no choices in what I am looking for, especially from GM. The cobra shines through amongst them all.

Not sure if there's been any choices based on what you seem to be looking for since the 1980s or even the 1960s. 4th gen Camaros looked fast, but not aggressive (especially next to a full tilt, WS6 Trans Am), and critisizing a GTO for looking like a Grand Am or Grand Prix is like critisizing the Cobra for looking like a V6 Mustang.... as long as it's fast, handles, and looks good, who cares!

The only 2 door performance rear drivers with more than 2 seats that have been in production nearly the past 20 years are the F-bodies and the Mustang.

Believe it or not, TODAY you have more choices for hard metal than ever before. But then again, you can always simply stash your money away, and see what comes up down the line. What you're looking for may come up in a few years. Afterall, there's no law mandating that everyone must have a new car when you pay off one.

GTO
Corvette (ZR1, C4, C5)
Another F-Body (Camaro, Firebird, Firehawk, Trans Am)

Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS (81-88)

You could always go to the classics

Well, that is all a matter of opinion. I think 4th gen z28s and trans ams look aggressive as hell. This is my opinion. I think stangs look aggressive as well. Whether they are v6 or not doesnt persuade my opinion of the body. Im not looking for something that is fast, handles, and looks good. If thats what I wanted I would go for a GTO cause they do look good, but just doesnt scream sports car loud enough for me. I want something that looks like a sports car and GTO just dont have that going for it, again, this is my opinion. You are criticizing my opinion like there is some universal opinion code that everyone must adhere to that states what aggressive is and what sporty is for everyone. What I am griping about is that there is nothing to replace the Z or the trans am. A couple are pretty close but had to screw it up in one way or another. Charger-SRT makes plenty of power, looks pretty good, but just had to make it 4 doors. GTO-makes plenty of power, nice ride, but doesnt look that great. So we've only got stangs, and Ford is doing a good job with that. So Im now somewhat expanding my horizons and thinking used vettes or a terminator.

 

ever consider a truck? They are really comfortable to drive around (sanely).. as long as you have the space, and money for gas. (which you probably are used to driving a 4th gen)


Then you can concentrate on keeping your 4th gen nice..

Also, with another vehicle, you can start tinkering aorund with the 4th gen, and start having fun.... And you can use your truck to tow it to events.. For example, drag racing or roadracing with real slicks/racetire...

and with a truck onhand, you can start thinking about any other toys you want to get and haul...

 

Sports car? Surely you mean "sporty" car, not sports car.
