Thumbs up New 4th Gen V8 the "L92"

According to the Nov. C&D the 6.2L V8 that is in the Dream Cruise Colorado is the L92 a new V8 for the GMT900 Fullsize pickups and SUVs. Looks like the Super Hemi and Ford Hurricane V8's have some competition from GM.

420 hp, figure in street trim it'll weigh in about 350ish hp? Whatever the hell, it'll be nice.

Fast rear wheel drive cars.

Re: New 4th Gen V8 the "L92"

Darn was this the 6.3, 6.4 talk a while back and this is it? I kinda wish the litre's would have been 6.3 besides 383c.i. 6.3 sounds a heck of a lot cooler I think. But isn't the 6.2 around 372ish cubic inches

But hey I wonder what the structure of engines how it would be in a certain 2+2 coupe coming out in 07?

3.9 v6 base 245hp?
5.3 base v8 RS AWD option? maybe? 310hp?
6.0 SS 390hp?
6.2 Z28? 425hp?

I think the 6.2L L92 is a different engine. The old (last year) engine size for the LS7 RPO was 6.4L. Plus the Dream cruise GTO had a 6.4L

6.0L LQ9 is 345HP, I would expect the L92 to be close to 400HP or what ever the Super Hemi is in the trucks.
