new 04 GTO photo.. Is this a retouch, a Monaro, or what?

--> http://temp6.netfirms.com/gto.jpg

The front frill looks identical to a Monaro's

It's hard to tell if the fender "GTO" logo is for real or just a photoshop job retouch. That "stain" around it is dubious.

However the front grill arrowhead looks real to me. And I don't know what to make of those hood "scoops" ..

The thought of having a GTO with a grill *identical* to a Monaro seems impossible to me. Even if this is not the final car, what the heck is it?

GT

Looks photoshopped to me too....especially that Pontiac emblem on the grill.

But look at the stand in the background! Can you imagine going into your local GM dealer here and having your choice of those brakes and wheels!!!!!!

Those brakes and wheels were showing off the current HSV brake and tyre packages available on their models (the bottom one, and the one you can see on the HRT427 ar 6-spot AP Racing units ... they'll pop your eyeballs out at full grab )

Yeah, looks touched up. Didn't someone say there were only 2 GTO prototypes on these shores and they were a dark red and black (I can't remember)...?

I bet there is more than that. Nevertheless, that looks photoshopped to me.

Wink

the pontiac symbol on the front doesn't look touched up but the GTO emblem is a deffinant reproduction. I would say the pontiac logo is really on there unless the person who actually did the photoshoping took a pontiac logo and actually did the angles on it to fit perfectly. Also there are no stamp marks around that logo.

just my thoughts on it

Looks pretty real, some1 did good work. IMO it might look better than the GTO picture that they released.

Interesting photoshop job.

It would be great if there was a corner of a Pontiac showroom that had that set up.
