My first impression was that the additional photos didn't make the car look all that desirable and actually make it kind of cold and impersonal. For some reason, it strikes me as something GM would have churned out back in the late 80s or early 90s concept-wise.

On second (OK, maybe fourth or fifth) thought, there are some features that I do like - the character lines in the fenders as tey sweep back from the headlights, the curves in the rear quarters and the sweep into the tailamps and bumper look nice and the portholes. The virtual twinning of the "intakes" of teh front bumper and the coves of the rear bumper is fairly neat.

Inside (especially) I still think it looks like a GM concept rehash. I still think it's too small to be called a Riv. It needs to be stretched moreso in the rear I think. I don't care for the hump inthe trunklid at the trailing edge of the rear window - it looks weird.

So, while I wouldn't call it a stunner, I don't think it's quite the miss I called it on first viewing.

Haha, we're on the same page on that one.

Obviously, it's a concept, forward thinking and stretching the box..I really like the feel.
...but something about the rear looks bad. Maybe the dragon's eyes tail lights, or the bottle-neck green house....

From the profile, the lines look exaggerated...toned down a bit would look better. And it looks short from the side(length), that or really tall???

The interior looks void, and cold...:blah:

I really like the front, a little Enclave in it, definitely classy and sporty.

I'm surprised we haven't seen some chops yet..

That thing is NOT a Riv!! It's too short and too tall.

Tell the guys who did the Camaro to take a '67 Riv and go from there.

I think it looks pretty good but it's just not a Riviera to me. I could see it being called Bengal or Wildcat, but to me a Riviera needs to be longer and lower. This is too stubby looking.

I guess we've both seen the "light" on this one. It's still not a Riv though, maybe Wildcat though........

It does look like a "future" version of the last production Riv, which i didn't think looked that good, but i sure loved driving it.

I don't see that as a Wildcat. A Skylark or Electra on the other hand.

To me Wildcat=

And what has caused this change of heart Charlie? Could it be that this car making it to production in one form or another affects other cars of greater interest making it to production?

I have to admit that the actual car came out far better than those pathetic styling clays in the first post.

Although the GM press release didn't indicate one way or another, the concept is reportedly RWD.

It seems to have roughly the same dimensions as the Camaro - except it has shorter overhangs which makes it shorter than the Camaro will be.

A Camaro which is larger than a Riv. Anyone think that's just plain wrong?
