Damn, that rear end is high and stubby. It looks like someone chopped the last 1/4 of the rear end off with an industrial sized laser cutter. I thought the C5 had a blunt-rear end problem.

Hopefully, they can cover for that with some nice styling lines that are hidden under that camouflage. Where's Bill Mitchell when you need him?

I'm not too sure about the rear end, but I really like the roof line and the curve of the front fenders.

I'm pretty sure they will have to unveil it at NAIAS (or one of the other auto shows this year, like NY or LA). This is the last auto show season before the car hits production, so it has to be then. I would bet on NAIAS because that is the hometown show, and a new Vette is a big deal for GM.

As for pictures, I don't think they will want to reveal too much prior to the press unveiling at whatever show they choose... Keeps the mystery alive...

Looks like some cues from the C5 Skunkworks "Body in Black" are making it to the C6. On the placard by the car part of the quote from John Cafaro says something about "exposed headlights that may be found on future models". The rear glass seems to draw cues as well.

Anyone happen to have pictures of it?

It has been announced that C6 will debut publicly at the Detroit NAIAS in January 2004.

F.Y.I. Last I heard, the official debut of the C6 will be at the Detroit Auto Show on Jan. 4, 2004.

I'm not sure if it's the same one, but at the Corvette Museum there is a car that looks similar to what you described. I took a (poor) picture of it last weekend, and the car looks awesome.

That's the one I'm talking about. It's gorgeous.

The Tom Peters seminar ... seeing John Cafaro's "Body in Black" .... Tom Peter's "Body in Red" ...reading the placards ...seeing the spy pics ...reflecting on "All Corvettes are Red" ...kinda cool. I really hope we'll be enjoying the same process with the Camaro 2 years from now.

Like I've said time and time again give this car a chance hold off judgement till ya see it in person. It's an impressive car and a slight departure from past models, yet has a style that simply says CORVETTE, no matter what angle you view it from.

Cool. That car looked VERY good! I'll try to post the pic when I get home.
