Sitting with there thumbs up their derrieres, based on what I can gather

I asked about such a car over at grandamgt.com not long after the WRX and EVO made their debuts, and there are 2 GM engineers who answer questions on that board. They said I'd be very pleased come 2006...I don't see it though. While the 240hp 6 speed 3.9 GTP will be very welcome come next spring, GM will again still be behind the competition with respect to WRX STi/EVO/Mazdaspeed. Their flagship G6 will make the same power an Altima has made since 2002!! This is progress?

Remember how the Camaro died? Because they only paid attention to e.t.s? I swear GM management must have tunnel vision. Since the whole having more power thing didn't work out, now they've turned their attention to style. While the other carmakers already have style, and are looking at ways of getting faster cars out to a country obsessed with being at the front of the pack. Either they'll get a clue and build a competitive car, or they'll lose another segment of the market.

Ah boy...such a large segment...the turbo AWD super performance catagory. Much MUCH larger then the mid sized sedan catagory that Pontiac is currently worried about.
Lose a segment? Where is Mazda's performance hot rod truck with hard top vert? THEY ARE GUNNA LOSE OUT ON THE SEGMENT!! AHHHHH!

Pretty close probably. What's a stock LGT put out and run? 250 crank horses and 14.2 sec 1/4 miles? How much would of a gain would a reflash give? Would figure it'd be good for high 13's which is what i'm hoping this mazdaspeed6 will run.
