MazdaSpeed6

Coming in early summer, the MAZDASPEED6 will feature a direct-injected turbocharged 2.3L engine (274 HP 280lb-ft of tq), 6-speed manual, all-wheel drive, a modified suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels and a significantly more rigid body structure. Aggressive, yet sophisticated styling enhancements plus the practicality of mid-size accommodations complete what will be Mazda's ultimate performance sedan.

I like. Hopefully it'll be priced under 29g's.

I like the sound of all that. Now if it was only a 2-door.

Sweet. I don't get the topmount intercooler under the hood, though. With out a vent, it doesn't seem like you would get much airflow through there.

Re: MazdaSpeed6

It looks like its going to come with a active center differential, a mechanical limited slip in the rear, and an open diff in the front. It also looks like the suspension is on the softer side when compared to the Evo and Sti. The seats are leather which doesn't grip all the well and the side bolsters aren't all that big. It looks like this is going to be a lot like the R32 as far as where it's positioned in the market.

Re: MazdaSpeed6

You think the MazdaSpeed 3 will be aimed at the normal WRX?

Serious? . That's good news. And by weaker, do you mean that the SVT version will have more??

0toinsanein5.4sec, guess it's easy to forget that the rx8's have 4 doors .

Re: MazdaSpeed6

it would make sense for the fusion to be more powerful. American cars dont have to adhere to the "gentleman's agreement" that the japanese automakers do. notice this car is at almost exactly the limit (276 hp). I see the fusion being more towards 300

The Japanese automakers had for years an agreement not to produce any cars with more than 276HP for the domestic market. So after several years of 276HP "wink wink nudge nudge" sports cars, they finally broke off the agreement.
