Lutz was C6 quote out of context?!?
In the news column in Car and Driver it has an explanation for Lutz's "That's not the 2005 Corvette!" comment.
According to C&D it was taken out of context. He was being given a tour of the design facility just after he came onboard. One car with a sheet over it was labled C6. Of course we all know that the profile is very reminiscent of C5. Thinking that it was actually a C5 he says "That's not the 2005 Corvette."
So goes the story.....Lutz said that if he had indeed changed the styling of the car in the slightest it would have delayed the launch.
