Did no one else catch this: Lutz: Camaro to take 30 yr nap.
It sounds like an off the cuff remark and it is taken out of context, but I can't believe everybody in here isn't in riot stage. Maybe it just slipped under the radar.
Anyway the quote can be found here in the middle of the page, just under the GTO photo:

It says:
Lutz was later asked if there was any hope of resurrecting the Camaro and Firebird. "Maybe after a 30-year nap," he said. We assume he meant for the car.
Clearly this should not be taken literally since Lutz will probably be worm food in 30 yrs, but still...

This has been discussed extensively already on this page, and I think it was generally decided that it was taken kinda out of context.
He was more than likely referring to the fact the GTO had a "30 year nap" and was wanting to talk about that car, not a car he is not allowed to talk about yet.
