Australia's leading performance motoring magazine, Motor, is predicting a 400+kW Supercharged LS9 HSV GTS-R will be unveiled at this months Melbourne Motor Show.

I can't see a business case for it with the CTS-V in our market. The price overlap would be pretty close. $50K for the Pontiac Vs $60K for the Caddy. I dont know that Caddy and Corvette want to share with Pontiac.

The car pictured in that thread has some great wheels on it and a nice color. Wonder if the G8 will come in that style.

Crazy Australians. Every time GM powertrain builds a more powerful motor, they stick it into some other 'super sedan' before lunch the next friday.

Cause the VXR500 version wasnt ludicrous enough as it was.

I don't think it will ever happen. LS8 maybe, but no chance for a LS9, too expensive. I expect the GXP to have a LS3. With 35mpg CAFE and $4 gas I don't think there is much of a market for a $50,000 S/C 600HP G8. A $35,000 430HP will sell much better.

It's photoshopped from the ZR1's hood. Not the real thing.

No CTS-V for australia. RHD not possible due to the V8.
